Ok, I hate when VT loses to uva but ... what I hate more is I am not sure the team can rebound and make it to the NCAA big dance. Poor D, name a team in the ACC who is worse defensively, no low post game (Jeff Allen is too small to scare most post defenders,) no heart, no leadership, no offense outside of 3 guys. Hell, maybe Dave Odom was right and VT isn't going to win anymore games.

Here is the remaining regular season schedule
Sat 2/2t vs f$u (borderline top 25 team)
Wed 2/25 at Clemson (a top 10 team)
Sat 2/28 vs doook (a top 15 team)
Wed 3/4 vs UNC (a top 2 team)
Sun 2/8 at f$u (again a borderline top 25 team)
All are top 25 RPI teams, all will be dancing and all are better than the Hokies. That doesn't mean VT can't win, just means they gotta playe extremely well.

BCO thinks VT will win 1, maybe 2 but unless they make a deep run in the ACC tourney will be NIT bound, again. By the way, that Sylven Landesberg kid for uva is a stud and will be a pain in the ass for the ACC for many years to come. Hoo fans can rest easy, he isn't NBA material, well at least not coming out early material. He will be 1st team all ACC by next season.

If I had this shirt in my closet, I'd wear it tomorrow to work.

Great post, BCO. LOL
Drown your sorrows in the new FBS t-shirt... yours for only 10 dollars. I'll even throw in a regular Virginia Tech Orange Bowl 2008 t-shirt.
FBS T-shirts go on sale at the spring game, April 25. First order of 50 is going pretty fast.
We are going to beat Duke on February 28... it will be the win we need to get into the tournament... mark my words today.
No heart hit the nail on the head...what happened to Vasalleo? He plays like a zombie? No way they make the tourney...I feel a very bad finish is in the making.
BCO,
You were counting your wins before they hatched. Hokies are notorious for this in football, what in the history of VT basketball makes you think you can do that?!! When they were 5-3 in the ACC...you were assuming they'd go 10-6. Have they ever been 10-6 in the ACC. As Terp fan...I've seen many a 5-3 start to to an 8-8 NIT finish. That's the way this league is.
Sorry to rub salt in the wounds...I'm pulling for as many ACC teams to make the dance as possible, so I'm upset as well.
Yes, G... the Hokies were 10-6 in 2006-2007 in the ACC and have the third most men's basketball wins in ACC conference play since the 2004 expansion.
if the washington post 3 part column does not come out the week of the VT game slamming gary and the terps, i'd like to think VT would have had a much better chance in winning that game. they was a loaded game from the get go, in hindsight.
VT in my opinion has better talent than uva and md, so asking for a split wasn't out of the question. to be honest, i wanted a 9-7 league record, which now is going to almost impossible. 10-6 with the teams they were finishing up with would have been very difficult even if they were 7-4 right now in league play.
at least they'd get more nat'l TV exposure going deep in NIT. Too inconsistent to the dance.
I agree....one more ACC win, two tops with a dook upset.
