A third of the way thru the season and I decided to update the ACC coaches power poll. Not quite how I would rank 1-12 the ACC ... but close. New coaches have some body of work now and get something more than the bottom rankings.

Coaching Power Poll
- Frank Beamer - VT, after a shaky start, he rallied the troops digging his heels into the top spot
- Randy Shannon - da U, has done an awesome job so far, 1 misstep. Can he rally against OU?
- Paul Johnson - GiT, slow start, awful passing qb doesn't help. His O will get better, D needs work.
- Tom O'Brien - NcSt, work in progress but in 2 years this team will be good to really good, unlikely great.
- Butch Davis - UNC, can recruit but needs 1 or 2 game changers on O. solid coach.
- Frank Spaziani - bc, is doing much more with a whole lot less. mad props. he might be too low still.
- Dabo Swinney - Clemson, the team is far tougher mentally and physically, O stinks. Needs to win the tough games soon or drop.
- Bobby Bowden - f$u, like years past inconsistent, this time with a lil more talent & a qb.
- Jim Grobe - WF, is the bloom coming off this rose ... me thinks it might be.
- David Cutcliffe - doook, so hard to tell, bad talent, no one cares
- Ralph Friedgin - md, get your resume ready, you will be a fine OC again somewhere {cough} Blacksburg {cough}
- algroh - uva, ummm i hope you have a nice retirement home somewhere. No one wants you, but Hokie fans.
